I hope you’re having a great weekend! Here are a few travel nuggets to peruse at your leisure.
News and stories
- Need trip ideas? See Matador’s 52 of the world’s best tourist attractions that actually live up to the hype. Lots of travel eye candy.

- Seems every week brings something new for the 0.5%. Etihad Airways is introducing a first class suite in the air. No, not a seat – a suite. Includes a living room, separate bedroom, and private shower. A bit over the top for a 7-hour flight, no? (From Huffington Post)
- Finally, Conde Nast has a roundup of apps to make you feel like a local while traveling.

One tip: the default settings include one that sends a daily reminder by text message. It annoyed me until I figured out how to disable it (under Settings – Notifications – Practice Reminder).
I’ve only used the mobile app so can’t comment on the desktop version.
Enjoy the weekend!
